ProSharp Skate Blade Profiling
Profiling reshapes the steel of your skate: the shape, pitch and radius of each zone of the blade. The right profile for how you skate and the position you play can change how your skates feel on the ice. As with sharpening, it is worth trying a few to find what works for you.
Profiles we offer
- Single radius: 7, 9, 10, 11, 12 or 13 foot.
- Combination: 10/13 or 9.5/10.5.
- Zuperior, the agility profile: for agile skaters who want to be more on their toes and quicker to change direction.
- Quad, the power profile: centrally balanced, for powerful skaters who want the most top-end speed.
- Ellipse, the dynamic profile: a mix of Quad and Zuperior, for smooth transitions and changes of direction.
Ask about profiling at our Blaine or Plymouth store, or about profiling by mail at nickd@lettermensports.com. See our skate sharpening guide.
