Prosharp Teardrop Honing Stone
The Prosharp Tear Drop Hone takes the burr off your skate blades after a sharpening. Bauer gives it a larger surface area and an ergonomic shape, so it is easier to hold and clears the first burr left by the grinding wheel.
- Removes the burr, the small ridge of ground steel on the outside edges of the blade, for clean edges.
- Larger surface and teardrop shape that is easy to handle.
- For non-coated steel. On coated steel, Bauer recommends the porcelain side of the X-3 or X-5 Combi Hone with the Gummi Hone.
- How to use it: press the hone flush and firm against the blade, angle it 3 to 5 degrees, and run it once or twice down the runner.
