Prosharp Bauer AdvantEdge Grinding Wheel
A fine diamond grinding wheel for the Prosharp Bauer AdvantEdge home sharpener. Each wheel grinds one radius of hollow, so you choose the one that suits how you skate.
What to know
- Fine diamond wheel made for the AdvantEdge home machine.
- Bite or glide. A smaller radius grinds a deeper hollow for more bite; a larger radius grinds a shallower hollow for more glide.
- Where to start. Bauer suggests a hollow between 5/8 and 3/4 inch, the most popular depths, with a good balance of bite and glide.
- Flat wheel that resets the blade before a new hollow, for prepping new steel or refreshing damaged edges.
- Wheel life. Bauer says a wheel sharpens about 75 pairs of skates.
